In this one time class we will draw and paint a whimsical little teacup with some flowers in it. This is a directed drawing and painting class. We will start with talking about the proportion of the drawing, then doing simple drawing outline of the composition We will then use acrylic paints to work on the background, learn about layering and then paint the artwork, step by step. We will finish up and have a cute masterpiece on our hands at the end of the hour. The colors of flowers and...
Materials required: 1.Canvas board or Canvas paper is preferable. Otherwise, thick quality mixed media paper. Size: Square like 12” x 12” inches, or 9” x 12”. or 11x14 to allow for the class to progress nicely. 2. Acrylic paints, assorted. ( main colors -yellow, light blue,light green, dark green,red,purple,white) 3.Paint brushes, at least 1 thick, 1 medium thick, 1 thin. 4. Clean water bowl and a couple of tissues or a cloth rag to wipe down the brushes. 5.A palette, or a paper plate or paper bowl to mix colors. 6. Pencil and eraser 7. Q-tips (4-5) needed
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
