We will start class off with introductions and discuss options or variations that students may add or change about the painting series. Each class we will paint 1 canvas/season Week 1: Spring Week 2: Summer Week 3: Fall Week 4: Winter Students will follow along as I demonstrate coloring mixing and painting techniques. Students are encouraged to ask questions and share their artwork as well and create discussion within the class as we paint. My classes are fun and encouraging to students. I offer suggestions and advice as we go, so having their camera on and allowing me to see their painting throughout the process so I can help before a student becomes frustrated with something is very important. I can’t help and problem solve if I can’t see what they are struggling with. Students don’t necessarily need any prior knowledge because I demonstrate color mixing and discuss how to create other colors.
Learning Goals
Students will learn problem solving, blending, color mixing and other painting techniques. Practice makes students better and there are different styles of painting. Some students like all of their paints smooth and blended, while others like a more painterly look. With of these are fine and up to each artist’s style preference.

We often use hair dryers to dry artwork, please explain any safety precautions if needed.
Supply List
4 canvases that will be hung together as one final piece of art. 11x14 or 9x12 depending on where you plan to display them. Paint brushes or various sizes with a fine point brush for detail Paper plate or paint palette Water cup Paper towels Table covering Apron or art shirt Hair dryer to dry painting quickly Acrylic paint: white, black, Brown, red, yellow, blue, purple, green, orange ***any other paint colors are optional. ***Glitter paint or fine glitter to add to paint optional for the winter painting
