In this 4 week self paced class we will explore 4 Master Artists and create paintings inspired by their work! Kids will enjoy learning about the artists, painting and creating their own pieces of art, and playing fun games.

US Grade 1 - 4
In this 4 week flexible schedule class we will learn about 4 different artists (Picasso, Renior, Cezanne, and Klimt) and create art pieces that are inspired by their work. We will talk about their genre of art, create pieces to be proud of, and learn about the artists through interactive games and scavenger hunts. 4 lessons//4 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Pablo PicassoLet's explore Picasso's Cubism through his famous "The Rooster" painting. Then, create your own colorful rooster masterpiece using crayons and watercolors! We'll discuss creativity, composition, and using art materials. Share your work for feedback and encouragement.Week 2Lesson 2Pierre-Auguste ReniorLet's delve into the world of Impressionism with Pierre-Auguste Renoir! We'll explore his life and work, then get inspired by "The Skiff" to create our own masterpieces using crayons and watercolors.Week 3Lesson 3Paul CezanneLet's get creative with Paul Cézanne! We'll explore his style and recreate Mont Sainte-Victoire with crayons and watercolors. Feel free to add your own twist!Week 4Lesson 4Gustav KlimtThis week, we'll explore the dazzling art of Gustav Klimt! Learn how his artistic family shaped his style, and discover his use of patterns and vibrant colors. We'll create a section of his iconic "Tree of Life" using markers, watercolors, and crayons.
Each learner will need: - A watercolor set - A brush (any size will do) - A cup with water to clean the brush - Set of crayons (or oil pastels) - Heavy white paper (watercolor paper is preferred but not completely necessary) - Table protection (newspaper, butcher paper etc). - Sharpie marker - Smock or old t-shirt to keep the paints off of your child's clothing
Parents are encouraged to be close by during the classes to help their learner with the painting process to minimize spills (especially with electronics close by!) and to make sure their paints and markers stay on the paper.
