Description
Class Experience
We will start this class off with a short discussion about Claude Monet. Using Slides I will flip through some of Monet's artwork, especially his famous Water Lilies! 🎨 I will demonstrate this impressionistic painting step by step using a separate camera to show my artwork. With loaded brushes full of 2 or 3 different colors we will mix right on the canvas, which always delights the painter. 2 files available upon enrollmenta pdf will be in the classroom, please print this for class 1 -10x10 canvas or canvas panel 1- paper plate 1- cup of water Paper towel or old rag Brushes: 1 medium flat/shader #10 1 small flat/shader #8 ( I use Simply Simmons, you can get them at Michael's) A picture will be provided in the classroom of the brushes I use so you can get similar sizes. Make sure brushes are firm, press bristles down in one direction, they should spring up firmly. Paints: Craft or acrylic paints (the exact type and color I used in parenthesis , but you can find similar colors if you like) Dark pink (Apple Barrel-fruit punch), white, dark green (Folk Art-sap green) , bright light green ( Folk Art-apple orchard), dark turquois (Folk Art-aqua), light greenish turquoise (Folk Art-succulent), med/dark grey(Ceramcoat-rain grey) yellow ( Apple Barrel sunny day)
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
