Class Experience
In this ongoing class we will explore a different master artist each week. We will talk briefly about the life of the artist, their work, and then students will create their own masterpiece inspired by the work of that artist. We will talk about color, composition, creativity, and also the proper use of materials and clean up. The students will be able to create their piece based on the artist that week, but in their own style and with their own personality and creativity. The class will...
The supplies may vary each week, but most of the time the supplies listed here will work. I will send and email if different supplies are needed well in advance of each class. Generally here are the supplies that you will need on hand every week. - A watercolor set - A brush (any size will do) - A cup with water to clean the brush - Set of crayons (or oil pastels) - Heavy white paper (watercolor paper is preferred but not completely necessary) - Table protection (newspaper, butcher paper etc).
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents are encouraged to be close by during the class to help their learner with the painting process to minimize spills (especially with electronics close by!) and to make sure their paints stay on the paper.
