In this class students will be painting with watercolor! The students will be following along with me in a step-by-step tutorial while we paint a beautiful landscape of a mountain scene. There will be a brief introduction to watercolor while we all practice getting a feel for our watercolor paints. During this time students will learn the basics about the color wheel and a color theory. After the introduction, we will do a simple line drawing as an outline for our watercolor painting, then we will get to painting! Students will be learning how to properly use watercolor paints through practice with different techniques. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi everyone,
My name is Ms. Rachel, lets get creative!
I am from Orlando, Florida and I am a freelance artist! I have a bachelors degree in studio art with a focus in painting, drawing, and sculpture, and a minor in art history. I have taught art for the last 4 years of my career in a wide range of subject areas as well as age groups. I have experience working with kids ages 2 through 18 teaching classes like, painting & drawing, jewelry making, ceramics, photography, general arts & crafts, cartooning, and more!
Art and working with kids is my passion in life and I couldn't be more excited to share everything I know with all of you! Everyone is an artist, and there is no limit to a persons creativity. To grow as an artist its important to try new things and get out of your comfort zone. In my classes I strive to provide a safe and warm space for the kids to explore their creativity.
When I am not teaching or making art you can find me on a hike, reading a book, or baking some delicious desserts!
I can't wait to see all of the projects and work we create, see you in class!
