Description
Class Experience
Students will solidify their understanding of warm and cool colors by drawing and painting a landscape with said colors. Students will learn about a contemporary, living, working American artist.
I am a licensed art teacher with over 30 years' experience in public schools. I love to bring art history alive by connecting my students with the amazing work of contemporary artists that they can identify with. For more inspiration, Robin Mead's work can be found on Pinterest and Instagram.
Pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener heavyweight paper (80# or heavier; Bristol board or watercolor paper is best), 9X12 or 11X14 Watercolor paints brushes bowl with water paper towels
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Because there are color theory and art history components in this class, I can offer a grade for homeschool/charter school purposes upon request.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
