In this one time painting class, students will paint a winter landscape along with me as I demonstrate each painting step. 
Students will learn how to use painting techniques to create a beautiful artwork. We will use the wet on wet technique, and learn about value and intensity of color to make dramatic effects. Students will learn how to layer white acrylic paint over their art to create snowy details. We will use a combination of carefully placed dots and splatter paint for a fun effect. 

My teaching style relaxed. Students can go at their own pace. I will encourage students to show me their artwork along the way so that I can give feedback that is both educational and enthusiastic.  Learners will get to interact with me and with each other, while creating their own artwork and watching my demonstration. At the end of class, students can show their artwork to each other and to me. If students don't feel comfortable sharing, students may opt to post a photo of the finished project in the classroom.

My classes are safe spaces for young artists to explore their creative talents. All skill levels are welcome. Students will be free to use their imagination and make artwork in a way that feels right for them. In my art classes I emphasize that there is no right or wrong way to make art. Students are welcome to use my project ideas as a jumping board and to be as creative and unique as they would like. 

Any prior basic painting experience is recommended, but not required, for this class.
