Class Experience

Students will learn how to transfer their unicorn silhouette onto their paper, prep their watercolor paper for painting, and how to control the watercolor paint.  With every step, they will be encouraged to use their imagination.
Linda is an artist and has been crafting for the past 25 years.  She is experienced in all forms of art specializing in jewelry making, watercolor painting, and crafts of all kinds. She teaches classes at Michaels stores in California.  She is an entrepreneur and her work can be found online and in local boutiques. 
1-2 hours per week or more!

Watercolor set (Michaels has an inexpensive 36 color palette), or any watercolor set will do. We will be using pastel colors and the palette should include white. Print out the attached file of unicorn silhouette Watercolor paper 6” x 9” (make sure unicorn silhouette fits onto paper) Masking tape Scissors #2 Pencil Pen Black Marker - fine tip Thick cardboard to tape your watercolor paper to Blow dryer 1 medium-size paintbrush 1 large-size paintbrush 2 glasses of clean water Paper towels Large sheet of Newspaper to work on and keep the table clean
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
When making stars, it is advised students tap lightly on their brushes, to avoid splattering paint onto themselves.
