How will you teach? When it comes to art, I've found the best way for kids to learn is by following along and teaching concepts and terminology as you go! We will be painting together! Picture it as kind of "Painting With a Twist" but for kids and a bit more lessons as we learn about different styles of art. How much will learners get to interact with you and each other? They will mostly interact with me as they are able to ask questions throughout the process when they need help! This is a fun time to just explore watercolor painting and finish with a beautiful painting!

Paint: basic watercolor kids palette works great! Include colors: blue, purple, and black Watercolor paper - no particular size. I will be using 11x14 Brushes - rounded brush detail (small), rounded brush medium, rounded brush large

Hello everyone! My name is Katie and I am a painting teacher! My classes specifically focus on landscape and nature subject painting using acrylic or watercolor paints! In this class we will learn different styles of painting. We will learn about the principles and elements of art as we implement them into the techniques and tricks we use.
I have been a painter ever since I was a small child. Growing up, I was mostly self-taught until I went to college and took studio classes. I have experience teaching painting classes as I did so at public libraries, in-home painting parties, and private lessons.
