In this one-time class, students will learn how to use a variety of watercolor techniques to paint a honeybee.
Class experience
Join professional artist, Ms. Becca, in her home studio to learn how to paint a delightful little bee. We will use a variety of watercolor techniques which will be carefully taught to each student. Students will begin by listening to a brief excerpt of a story about bees, to foster excitement for the subject and to get our minds thinking of this important pollinator. Ms. Becca is a certified K-12 Art Educator with 15 years of experience teaching art. She is also a professional watercolor artist, having over one hundred pieces in private collections across the US. Her specialties include portraiture and seascapes.
Please come to class with: > a pencil > watercolor paper ( 8 x 10, 11 x 14, or similar size) > watercolor brushes > watercolor paints >white paint (acrylic, tempera, or gouache) > a small mixing pallete or plastic lids > paper towels > water cup
