There will be no live meetings for this course. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh is a well known novel that explores the themes of bravery and courage from the perspective of a family of mice facing a crisis. Theme and plot and character development are integral parts of this novel. Students will spend a great deal of time examining the motivations, limitations, and conflict many of the main characters face as they deal with not only Mrs; Frisby's struggles but also the dilemma facing the rats as they too must move their home. We will compare and contrast this struggle from the perspective of both as they work through their situation. This is a self paced course and there will be no live meetings. Lesson videos will be about 5-10 minutes long and assignments should take no more than 30 minutes. The course will culminate in an exam. Please allow 3 business days for feedback on the final assessment.
