Owls, owls and more owls is a fun and educational experience! In this one time course, students will learn all about four of the most popular types of owls. Specifically, we will take a closer look at the barn, spectacled, snowy and long-eared owls. We will discuss their place in the “animal kingdom”, habitat, social activity, parenting, hunting and daily activity. This class incorporates lots of student interaction, slides, video clips and a virtual visit to see some owls live. As a fun additional class activity, we will learn how to draw a cute owl. I work hard to provide an engaging, fun and educational classroom for all of my students.

Hello there!
I love teaching students of all ages! I have over 20 years experience teaching students ranging in age from 4 to college level students. I strive to create a fun and engaging classroom where each student is eager to learn and participate. My mission is to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
My areas of expertise are communications and public speaking, but I love teaching science and animal related courses and helping students work on their reading skills. I currently travel around the country doing test prep classes for high school students.
I also have a passion for teaching younger students how to read. I have my ESL certification, a BS in Communications from the University of Tennessee and a MA in Business Management from Tusculum University.
I live in beautiful East Tennessee with my husband Chris, one bunny, three golden doodles and a yorkie!
