Learners will answer questions and discuss their favorite parts of the book. We will cover 30-40 pages in each meeting I will model reading and have learners read if they are comfortable. Learners should read assigned reading posted in the classroom before class to be familiar with the text. At the end of each meeting, learners will take a fun Kahoot Quiz to check for comprehension and extended practice reading. Eva's life is a real HOOT! As a licensed teacher specializing in Reading, I have had the opportunity to support and engage students with diverse learning needs. My experience has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of different instructional strategies to ensure that all students have the skills necessary for academic success. I am passionate about creating a positive classroom environment that is both supportive and engaging, where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and participating in discussions. With my expertise in Reading instruction, I strive to help each student develop a lifelong love for reading while achieving academic goals.
My passion is literature. I believe stories make concepts more palpable to children. Stories can teach readers valuable lessons, make them laugh, and see things from a different perspective, or take them somewhere new!
When I have time, I like to travel, experience different cultures, and learn the history of people and places. I am also an animal lover! I have two dogs, have worked with animal rescues, and fostered cats and dogs for years.
If you are interested in a class and don't see a time that meets your needs, please send me with your time request. I look forward to meeting your learner in class!
