Class Experience

Welcome to the Great Lessons Montessori Academy, where we deliver Montessori classes to learners aged 3-12 all over the world. This Outschool Learner Pod is designed for our Junior learners, who will be taught by Montessori-trained teachers throughout the week.

MONTESSORI ACADEMY JUNIOR CLASS

Our Junior Class will meet for 55 minutes, 4 days a week to give learners the benefit of consistency and immersion into the Montessori approach to learning. Each session will contain our community...

All of our teachers are experienced and trained Montessori teachers for this age group.

Teachers may set some very short practice tasks to be completed outside of class time.

Learners will need to use a laptop (not Chromebook or tablet or other mobile device) to be able to use the teacher's screen during class. In addition to this, you will be provided with pdfs to print (and we recommend laminate) to assist with your child's learning should you wish to do so. In addition, you may need to provide pens, paper, pencils, and other items to help your child learn. These may be common household/garden items, such as different objects they can find beginning with the week's sound, stones or sticks, or cups, or play dough. These will be supplied in the classroom, at least a week ahead of class.

Montessori Tools

All of our teachers are experienced and trained Montessori teachers for this age group.

3 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Learners will be accessing the teacher's screen during class, to use our interactive learning materials. They may need support with this from parents. This will be to use the Montessori Tools website, and also our own developed materials on Google Slides.
