Class Experience

Join this class to build community in a small group while learning a complete 4th grade curriculum! Each qualified Outschool educator brings unique gifts and talents to share with your learner, but they are all fun, energetic, and engaging. Signing up for this pod means access to all educators within our team via one single Outschool classroom -- no need to shuffle between Zoom links. Reserving your spot in month 1 of this Pod will serve as a deposit for your Fall 2022 registration....

Welcome to our pod! Each teacher brings unique gifts and talents to share with your learner, but they are all fun, energetic, and engaging. 

Tiara, our reading and math teacher, will work hard to inspire confidence in even the most reluctant reader.  She also has a passion for Astronomy which she teaches to ages 4-14. She will ensure your learner feels heard and understood. 

Emphasizing interactive learning and a hands-on approach, Autumn has a passion for African American studies. She teaches history. 

Noel, our science teacher, emphasizes student-led learning. She leads learners to explore topics by encouraging questions and communication in the classroom. 

Open Discussion and engagement are what our teaching team is all about. Some of us are homeschool moms, and some have many years of classroom experience. We all have extensive knowledge and experience to share. We share a passion for reaching each learner and unlocking their potential.

Students will need the following supplies each day:
- The ability to print worksheets
- Good internet connection
- Crayons
- Paper
- Pencils

Books:
- The BFG by Roald Dahl  (August)
- Matilda by Roald Dahl (September)
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl (October)
- Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl (November)

All other supplies will be listed in the classroom in a timely manner and will be easy to find and practical.

12 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
