This is a weekly output-focused club for Japanese language learners to collaborate and mingle in English and Japanese to communicate using microphones and typing based on topics from ACTFL(Novice High-Intermediate Low), CEFR(A1-A2), and GCSE (Foundation Tier). Everyone MUST participate by either typing or using microphone to respond. Students will have a set of vocabulary and grammar to focus mastering each lesson. Each meeting will start with a review of the vocabulary and grammar for 10 minutes of review games. Then we will move on to our themed conversation board for everyone to make sentences, or by commenting using microphone. There will be a weekly input asked of the students to make before our next meeting. Each week, students will be playing a game to assess how much they know Japanese words or how fast they can recall the words. . ***This is a gathering where you play games with the knowledge you have as a Japanese learner. If you're learning from Duolingo, great! If you have another Outschool sensei you're learning from, great! This is a output focused club for anyone who is learning Japanese. I will be there as a facilitator of our conversation board, answering any questions students may have on grammar and expression in chat in Japanese and English. Students are encouraged to use two browsers, or two devices at the meeting, so an online dictionary is always at hand. Teacher expertise and credentials
Texas Teaching Certificate in Foreign Language
Bachelor's Degree in Art and Design from University of North Texas
Certified teacher for Japanese (EC-12), Mandarin(EC-12) and Art(EC-12). I grew up speaking Japanese, Mandarin and Taiwanese, so I have no problem mixing them up to meet your need. Many years of freelance tutoring experience for Japanese and Mandarin have helped me teaching all levels of Japanese including Pre-AP and AP classes at my former employment at a public high school. I am also experienced in curriculum building for 4 years of Japanese language education based on ACTFL proficiency standards as a former school teacher. As I teach more and more students from all over the world, I have become more familiar with CEFR rating as well as GCSE tiers.
