Description
Class Experience
I have several years of experience as a firefighter and a certified EMT. I have also spent many years in the outdoors, hiking, fishing and camping. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy teaching survival skills and safety tips to others. I have several years of experience with teaching youth the skills needed to safely explore the great outdoors in different environments and survival situations.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Survival skills and safety tips does require discussion about different types of safety gear and tools. This might include swiss army knife, small handheld hatchet, fire starter tools, or other gear of this nature. All information will be age appropriate as well as the discussion of such tools.
