Class Experience
Where does light go when it breaks the law? ***to PRISM!!!*** Hello!! I love outer space, and no matter how old I get, I still enjoy discovering new things about it. This 4-part space camp is a follow up to my original space camp. I'm back with 4 new lessons for Part 2! This journey takes the students on a deep-sky dive into our solar system. They will learn about and discuss the International Space Station, the Apollo program, star constellations, and black holes. It's important to know...
The main goal of this class is to launch a lifetime of space curiosity for these students. Students will discover new details about space exploration, star constellations, and black holes.
I have several years experience as a science teacher. Space exploration is one of the most fascinating topics to me, and I have found the enthusiasm with this subject is contagious! 😊
No homework will be required. We will have a Blooket game after every class, and I sometimes like to make worksheets for fun, but everything is optional.
No outside materials needed.
I am always available for private learner assessments with the parents, if requested.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

If relevant to the discussion, we may refer to NASA's website (solarsytem.nasa.gov) to try to locate where particular spacecraft are in the solar system. This is a fantastic website for students to explore. It is very informative and has "kid friendly" sections for younger minds to better understand.
