Description

Class Experience

Learners will improve their understanding of the solar system we live in and each of the eight planets contained in it.
I have taught science at all grade levels in public schools home schools and college. My first college degree is in Secondary Education (grades 6-12) with four concentrations (including Biology, Earth Science, and Life Science) so I am certified to teach this subject at those levels. I am also certified as a EC-Grade 4 Generalist and a Grades 4-8 Generalist.
Learners may need extra time after class to read their book. Learners will benefit most if they read over any material that they can find about the eight planets of our solar system prior to the class time.
Please have your student order the book "Eyewitness Workbooks Stars & Planets" at the following website: https://www.amazon.com/Eyewitness-Workbooks-Stars-Planets-DK/dp/0744034566/ref=asc_df_0744034566?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80745477062650&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584345025467122&psc=1
Learners will be assessed by informal assessment. A handout will be provided before the first class. The students will complete this during class. This handout can also be used by parents as an informal assessment at home after class.
