US Grade 3 - 6
Our planet Earth is very active. It is always shifting, drifting, and changing. Volcanoes and geysers erupt out of the ground. Earthquakes, landslides, avalanches, tsunami, and other phenomena batter our cities, countrysides, and coastlines. Water tumbles down hillsides, lakes form and dry up, ice freezes and melts...the activity is endless and fascinating. In this class, we will explore some of these natural wonders and discover why they occur. Class will be engaging and exciting as we interact, discuss, and explore natural phenomena through slides, images, video clips, and discussions.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of Earth's changing surface.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome! I love to help students learn new skills and explore topics of interest! I have been teaching for over 24 years and can’t wait to share my love of learning with you and your family. I am a Nationally Board-Certified Teacher and have my Ph.D. in Education.
I offer a wide variety of classes to meet a wide range of students' interests, needs, and ages. Check out my course options and choose one today. I promise you will have fun learning!
My teaching philosophy is to do whatever it takes to help your child learn. I like to build on your child’s background knowledge and interests to get them excited about topics. When children are excited about a topic, they learn without even realizing it! Engaging learners make the process fun and exciting and create a foundation for a love of learning.
I look forward to meeting you in one of my courses. See you soon!
Happy Learning,
Dr. Amy R.
