Class Experience

Students will build their skills and confidence in writing essays in class 2 of the Learning Path. By the end of class 3, learners will learn to plan, draft, and polish an informative essay with well-written paragraphs.
I have a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in multicultural education, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
Learners will work on creating and/or polishing their work after each class. For the essay, learners will need to spend some time researching topics.
Google Docs (or preferred application), pencil and paper (if preferred) with ability to scan for turning in work, printables provided from class (attached on the classroom page before needed in class or as homework)
Before starting the Learning Path, an informative paragraph writing sample is collected through Google Forms. Learners receive directions and the Google Form link to complete the writing sample upon enrollment.

Throughout the class, learners will work on each concept and will receive feedback from the teacher. Peer interaction/feedback is encouraged, but not required. All work is turned in through our class page.

At the end of the 4th session of each class, each learner submits their completed work to the teacher and feedback is given to the learner through the class page. Additionally, the learner’s grownup receives a progress report through Outschool messages.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
