Orton-Gillingham Spell, Write and Read! (Ages 8-10) Ongoing (1x/Week)
In this engaging, multi-sensory, phonics class we will use the Orton-Gillingham approach to learn about spelling rules and patterns. It was developed for children with dyslexia or dysgraphia but would benefit any child.

Class Experience
I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and used it for many years in my role as a Reading Specialist. I have a K-6 MN teaching license as well as a B.A. in Elementary Education and English.
1 file available upon enrollment-Any object that has texture (sandpaper, towel, sand on a plate, plastic needlepoint canvas, etc.) Pop Its work great! They can even trace on the surface of their table or desk. -I have also attached a sheet to the welcome post that we will use for writing. You can print that before class. If you don't have access to a printer you can just use a regular piece of paper or a whiteboard.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
