Description

Class Experience

Students with dyslexia or other reading difficulties will learn the necessary decoding strategies to drastically improve their reading fluency and confidence.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Drama in Education, a 250 hour TESOL diploma, and I have been formally trained at the Orton-Gillingham associate level (60 hour in class training). I also have 5 years of experience being a one-on-one tutor in both reading and ESL.
Students are asked to review their flashcards with a parent outside of class time.
Students will need a notebook, pencil, and a deck of plain index cards.
Students will be assessed during their first class. Additional progress assessments are available per request, and copies can be sent to the parent if desired.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
