This class is an Orton Gillingham reading class for students who have mastered their basic letter sounds and digraphs and are beginning to read. We will focus on spelling and writing 2-3 syllable words as well as several different spelling patterns. Classes will include the following activities: Sound/spelling pattern reviews Word writing Sentence writing Word reading Sentence/passage reading Reading and spelling games
Learning Goals
Students will read and write 2-3 syllable words with closed, open, and magic e syllables.Students will read and write words with the consonant -le spelling pattern
