Class Experience

In this class, students will practice blending words, learn sight words, and read simple sentences. Students will practice their early reading skills through games. Class size will be kept small (limit of 5 learners per section) so that all students have ample opportunities for practice. 

A typical class is structured as follows:

5 minutes: Phonemic awareness
5 minutes: Sound review and focus sound
10 minutes: Word and simple sentence reading practice/game
5 minutes: Sight word practice (if...

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
