Class Experience

In this class your child will be taught a phonics skill called the bossy R words using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to learning. Students will learn how to listen for the sound, read it within a word, write it down, and find it within a text. This class is a good fit for students who can read simple books and write short sentences.

Students will learn how to listen to, read, and write, a new phonics skill each week.

Students should have the following items ready to go.
Crayons
Safety Scissors (Please review scissor safely with your child prior to this lesson) 
Dry erase board, markers, and eraser.

Students will be informally assessed throughout each lesson.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Safety is my number one priority. Please make sure to go over scissor safety with your child before this class.
