Learners will begin their journey with the ancient art of paper folding called Origami. This is a fun, exciting, and green way of using your artistic talent. This is a beginners class with emphasis on how to fold properly, creasing edges, and picking the right types of paper in addition to picking our what what designs work best for the learner. The first class will begin with an introduction about origami, how to fold properly, and folding our first item - a fox, bookmark, paper airplane, dog. The second class will begin with a review of proper folding then onto our next creations - boat, hat, and a rose. The third class will continue with any creation not finished and start with new creations - penguin, flower, and a heart. The fourth class will continue with any creation not finished and start with new creations - flower, cow, and snake. The teacher will ask students for their preferences as will adjust accordingly.
Learning Goals
Learner will be making exciting origami designs with different types and colors of paper.

Parental Guidance
The younger the student the more help they might need to fold paper straight. The more they practice the better they get at it.
Supply List
Here is a website that I will be using but there might be more later added. I am always looking for new projects. Student will need paper! The best shape for the paper is 6 in. by 6 in. squares. Please prep paper before class. You can use recycled paper, construction paper, etc. Amazon and Walmart both have origami paper for a reasonable price as well. It's up to you and your imagination.
