In this weekly club, students will learn and practice folding origami. Students will socially interact and share their origami creations with friends.

In this on-going weekly origami art club, students will join together to learn, create and share their foldable artwork. I will model a new origami foldable each week while students listen, watch and follow along. Practice makes perfect so it may take a few tries to get it “just right”. This class is great for fine motor skills, following directions and perseverance. Great for beginning students who want to learn the art of origami. Students do not need any experience to join their class. This is a beginner class. Students will need computer paper ( plain for colored) or origami paper. A black marker and colored pencils are optional if your student would like to decorate their origami art. In 2007, I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in English and a certification in Elementary K-6 Education. I am also certified to teach Gifted Lerners and English as a Second Language. Although I have taught all subjects from Science to Math, Language Arts is my passion. This passion led to becoming the Media Specialist (aka librarian) for my K-5 school over the past 3 years.
