In this 4 week online course students will learn how to organize their independent film shoot. Students will learn industry standard techniques and get to take a look at professional film production documents.

Beginner Level
In this 4 week class students will learn how to organize their independent film shoot. We will cover properly formatting a script, creating a script breakdown, creating documents from your breakdown, creating shooting schedules and call sheets. This course is great for anyone who would love to learn how to organize their film like a film industry professional.

By the end of the course students will be equipped with the basics of each topic so they are able to self learn from what they've been taught. Students will learn the main components of organizing their film shoot.

Correctly Formatting a Screenplay
Students will learn the importance of correctly formatting a screenplay before you start organizing a film shoot. Students will also learn how to correctly format a script. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Breaking Down A Script
Students will learn what a script breakdown is, how to properly create one and why it's one of the most important aspect when organizing your film shoot. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Creating Schedules from your breakdown
Students will learn the different types of documents and schedules that come from creating a proper script breakdown. Students will also learn to create them. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Creating a shooting schedule
Students will learn the basics of putting a shooting schedule together and creating call sheets. 60 mins online live lesson

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an award winning film-maker and a homeschooling parent to my beautiful & inquisitive 7 year old son.
I love everything that has to do with creating a film. I received my degree in digital film-making and video production in 2012 and have been a part of the industry ever since.
I started off with my own video production company, then I transitioned into working on higher budget films working with studios and networks such as OWN, Netflix, Lionsgate, Universal Studios and Lifetime. The latest studio I worked with was Lionsgate on the beloved film "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.
Since I've started homeschooling I've re -opened my video production company and recently directed and produced a short film under my company Existent Dreams called "Sentenced to Pray" that premeired at Arysly Grand Theatre in Charlotte, NC.
I'm extremely thrilled to teach other creatives the craft and give them the tools to continue to grow as an independent filmmaker on their own.Reviews
