Does your preteen ever struggle with understanding how to organize and manage their time? Are they unsure how to prioritize certain tasks over others? Do they ever feel overwhelmed with completing their tasks? In this class, we will address these common frustrations! We will be discussing how to learn to prioritize our time, and how to put our tasks in order of importance. We will learn about a flow chart style of time management, called a Kanban board, and each student will put together their own board for use at home. Boards can be made out of a small white board, a cork board, etc (full supply list can be found in the "supplies" section). This class will leave your preteen feeling like they have a grasp on, and are in control of their own time. They will feel equipped to begin managing their time, ordering theirs tasks by level of importance, and completing necessary tasks.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Jessica, and I am a homeschooling mom to four children. I have worked with preschool and kinder aged children for over 15 years, and have done everything from running a preschool center, teaching classes, and designing curriculums for use by others. I also owned my own music business for a few years, teaching children 6 months-5 years the foundational aspects of music. I will offer your young children active, engaging, and fun classes on a variety of topics!
I have my black belt in mma (mix of Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, American Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), as well as a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu, and regularly teach classes to everyone from toddlers to adults. I love helping children make a connection between fitness/health and fun by making workouts a fun experience rather than one to dread.
I am a certified group fitness instructor, and carry an additional certification as a Youth Exercise Specialist. I love helping teens and preteens explore how they can be strong, healthy, and active individuals. I hope to give your teenaged children, whether they are active athletes or not, a great workout through a variety of offerings for fitness, strength, agility, etc.
I have a personal love for financial responsibility. Although I run several websites, I especially enjoy running my site dedicated to helping others how to live debt free and financially wise lives. I love teaching children about entrepreneurship and money matters through fun thematic units such as “building their own cupcake shop”, to help them understand money in a practical, meaningful, way.
I hope that my experience in these areas, as well as my background and love for teaching children will lead to inspiring classes that your children leave feeling accomplished, encouraged, and eager to come back for more!
