Beginner Level
This class on organization will take the learner through multiple areas of planning and implementation for success and calmness. We'll first look at how to plan for life after high school. College requirements, technical school requirements as well as how to get started as an entrepreneur if that's your niche. Next we'll look at organizing your current academic life. Studies have shown that the prefrontal cortex, the executive functioning part of our brain, responds best to certain cues and we'll learn how to create a flow that supports your academics, your learning style as well as your calmness. We'll focus in on how to best take notes, create research papers and how to study for and take tests. Lastly we'll look at your home environment and how to tame the chaos and find peace and tranquility in each part of your day. We'll discuss which routines can save the day, fun ways to declutter and how to develop a step-by-step manageable plan of action that can create a room that cleans its self. As with any new habit, we'll reflect on how to shift the perspective from one of resistance to one of motivation, where a sense of success and calmness rules the day.
Learning Goals
Learners will develop strategies for short-term as well as long-term planning. Areas of learning include how to create new habits and add strategies for success and calmness in their academic world as well as their personal world.
