In this one-time course, students will learn how to stay organized. Students will be presented a variety of strategies that they can use to keep their lives and academics organized! We will focus on time management strategies as well.
Class experience
Students will be taught the basics of organization and how to start becoming organized. We will discuss different strategies to stay organized and discuss the best fit for each student to try! Topics will include: 1. Keeping an agenda. 2. To-do lists, setting goals, and reflection. 3. Colour coding. 4. Taking organized notes and how to keep them organized. 5. Grouping items. 6. Keeping a clean computer desktop and documents. 7. Apps to keep you focused. 8. When to take breaks. 9. Let's...
Students will improve their organizational skills and note taking skills.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours Specialization in Kinesiology, I am currently a Teacher Candidate in a Bachelor of Education program in Intermediate/Senior (grades 7-12). As a current student myself, I understand the importance of understanding how you learn and developing strategies early to deal with everyday stressors. I am a passionate, young teacher who is still in school and understands what youth face today. I am eager to share my passion for organization and help ease your stress regarding it!
Curriculum materials will be given by the teacher. Students do not need to purchase materials for this course. If students have specific questions, they are encouraged to bring them to class. If students wish to take notes, I encourage them to bring paper, a pencil or pen, and coloured highlighters/markers to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
