Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
The students will improve their understanding on the topics and will learn other strategies on how to solve any problem concerning Order of Operations - PEMDAS.
I have been teaching math for about 5 years now. I have been an elementary teacher for almost 7 years. Teaching this topic is not new to me, so students will leave having an understanding of the topic and with different strategies that they can use to solve PEMDAS.
The students will be given a homework assignment on Google classroom after each session. These homeworks are designed to be fun and stress free for the students. Each assignments will take about 10 minutes, but students will have multiple opportunities to play the game.
notebook, pen/pencil
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners' progress will be informal, on participation, on classwork, and based on the homework assignments
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please give consent to students to use Google classroom, kahoot, ixl, and Gimkit. Students will need to download Google classroom on their devises. Nearpod, kahoot, and Gimkit does not require a download on their devises. These contents are kid friendly and safe for the students to be on. Students are not required to create a Nearpod, kahoot or a Gimkit account. They will be given a link and a code to join. Such links and codes are given only to the students who are present in the session. I will also be sharing my screen when reviewing or teaching mathematical concepts to the students.
We will go over other strategies by sharing the screen and by working on Nearpod and on the shared screen.
