Adults are using geometric coloring books and now kids can join in the fun. I created fun patterns for students to color. During this activity they will learn color theory, visual illusions, some art history and math. We will discuss how repeating shapes are often used in art and create a balanced harmony as well as to trick the eye into seeing optical illusions. We will also explore color choices for an aesthetically pleasing piece of art. Kids will also receive blank sheets that they can use over and over to find more ways to explore color, shape and patterns should they want to repeat this exercise at another time.

Hi families! I look forward to meeting you all. I am a Business, Graphic Design, Visual Arts and Communications Professor. I sit on the technology committee as well as the curriculum committee at my school district and I have three children who love anything art, design or STEM based. They are my biggest inspiration.
