In this 4 day class, students will learn to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers with accuracy. This class will be taught using PowerPoint slides. The teacher will model all operations with integers in a direct teach model. Periods of time will be used for guided practice and independent practice. Addition and subtraction of integers will be taught using chip model and number line method. Multiplication and division will taught using a triangle tool. Operation rules will be provided, as notes, to students to aid with work and practice problems will be provided to learners and are optional to complete. This class covers: *What is an integer? *Adding & Subtracting Integers *Multiplying & Dividing Integers *Word Problems with Integers Prerequisite Skills Needed: Students should know their multiplication facts and be able to add and subtract.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to perform all integer operations with accuracy.
