Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn drawing techniques, and we will be using, at times, a variety of mediums including color. I want this to be an hour where drawing can be creative and fun, and part of that is by being social as well with the other students. There will be personal interaction between the student and myself, the instructor, so they can learn skills that take direction, but students will also be critiquing each other's work. This will be done in a constructive manner.
Topics discussed in this class will not be of a high-risk nature.
There is no homework. This is a single-session class. While students will not be working on assignments together, I do encourage interaction during class time.
Materials required for this class are as follows: paper (suitable for drawing preferred--not lined), pencils, eraser, ink pens for drawing (felt tip work better than ball point), color (this is up to the student, could be color pencil, crayon, marker. Please no paint.) This is a list of materials that COULD be used in class so having it all available is requested, but each class is different and we won't be using all materials in this list every time.
There will be a one-on-one assessment between student and instructor during class. There will also be a closing critique session where students will have the opportunity to provide constructive feedback to their peers.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There should be no issue in this class that would require Parental Guidance.
While I don't intend there to be additional printed materials for class, That could change session to session as the topics change. If that became necessary, I would add those files in the form of a .pdf in my greeting that generally arrives 18 to 12 hours prior to the start of class.
