In this class we will learn about different creatures in mythology and legend. We will learn at least 5 different beast plus stories along with reading a book with tons of other creatures. Then we will create our own creatures and stories.

Class Experience
In this class we are going to learn and identify 5 different mythological creatures - dragon, mermaid, basilisk, phoenix, & manticore. We will learn about each of these animals in detail and hear a bit about each of their legendary stories. I will have slides for each learner to participate in reading the stories with me as we learn more about these creatures. We will learn to identify these creatures with a guessing game. Students will draw their own mythological creatures and create a legend for that creature.
Come with a paper, pencil, and coloring supplies of your choosing (markers, crayons, paints, colored pencils).
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
