Ongoing: Why is This a Law? Strange, and Bizarre Laws From All Over The World

In this ongoing class, we will research weird, strange, and bizarre laws from all over the world. We will research why they became laws and if we believe the laws should be still current laws. This will be a fun research class.

Class Experience

* Students will improve their trivia knowledge about various weird, strange, or bizarre laws.
* Students will improve their respect for others opinions and to discuss them in a respectful manner.
The teacher has owned and operated an elementary, middle, and high school age program for over 10 years, which included subjects in debate, history, science and math courses. The course is designed to be lighthearted, along with the topics. The teacher will require students to remember there are topics that can be sensitive to others and our goal is to respect others. The teacher has numerous years of discussing or stopping sensitive discussions from going to far.
The only homework will be in the form of researching some weird, strange, or bizarre laws about the week's topic and be prepared to share the information with the class.
No formal assessment will be given. We will just have the informal assessment during class.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will not be discussing any materials that would be considered controversial or material that is not age appropriate.
