Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will be learning to draw and use different coloring mediums including watercolor paint, markers, gel pens, paint pens, and colored pencils to create beautiful birds. We will break down the subject into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Drawing, coloring and painting techniques may include shading, highlights, mark making, texturizing, blending, and various watercolor special effects as needed for the specific project. Sketching and drawing techniques. Mixed media techniques with black line markers, colored markers, gel pens, watercolor paint, paint pens, colored pencils, etc.
Pencil. Eraser. Sketchbook or drawing paper. Watercolor paper. Cup of water (watercolor projects only). Paper towel (watercolor projects only). Paint brushes (watercolor projects only). Various coloring mediums such as markers, colored pencils, watercolor paint, gel pens, fine line black marker, paint pens (optional).
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Non-toxic, child-safe art supplies only.
