Class Experience
This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.
The goal of this class is to make students comfortable with the Chinese language and enjoy drawing and making connections with the vocabulary words and with others. I have found teaching using strategies that employ multiple intelligences is the key to learning. In my classrooms, students learn through visual, music, language, and kinetics movements. Drawing helps learners focus and connect the words with their visual images.
I am a native Chinese speaker and have taught Chinese for over ten years from kindergarten to adult learners. I am a certified teacher with experience working at a Chinese immersion school. Throughout my career, I have taught Chinese I, II, III, IV, AP and business Chinese. I have a master's degree in education.
Please bring paper and pencils or crayons to class to draw along with us each week!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
