Class Experience

US Grade 10 - 12
This learner-directed SAT Math Review Class focuses on key math topics for the SAT exam. The class meets once a week for 55 minutes and is ongoing, allowing students to join or leave as needed.

Pre-Class Work:
Learners will solve an SAT Math exam paper beforehand, either one they provide or one I can give. They must submit their work 2 days before the first class, enabling me to tailor the lessons to their specific needs and avoid covering concepts they already know.

In-Class Structure:

We’ll review every question from the paper. Questions everyone gets right will be quickly noted, while those that pose challenges will be discussed in depth as a group to resolve any conceptual errors.

Additional time will be spent on questions where students need more help, covering relevant theory based on the group’s knowledge level.

Once a paper is completed over multiple sessions, we’ll move on to another, ensuring comprehensive practice across different topics.

Collaborative Learning: Students will also share how they approached problems, reinforcing learning and exposing them to multiple solving strategies.

The class is flexible, with no set weekly schedule for new topics—just continuous review through SAT papers.

Supplies: Mock paper, writing tools, notebook, and a geometry box.

Hi there,

A Telecommunication Engineer turned into a Maths teacher here, following my passion and heart!! Being mom of 2 school going children, I always feel that learning Math should be a thought provoking group discussion. Child should be engaged in a way that Math starts making sense to him/her.

I had been a Master Tutor for Math at University of Texas at Arlington from 2004 to 2005, while I was pursuing my Masters of Science - Electrical Engineering with focus in Wireless Engineering. At UTA, I was awarded title of Master Tutor after having taught for 500 + hours and completing Level 1 to Level 3 Tutor's training.

I enjoy teaching:

Higher Grade Subjects like:
Business Math, Calculus, College Algebra, Geometry, Elementary Statistics, Differential Equations

Lower Grade Subjects like:
Algebra, Geometry, Number Systems etc
