Description
Class Experience
These private tutoring sessions will be individualized lessons designed to overcome learning struggles and intensify learning skills. I will work together with you, the parent, to create meaningful learning opportunities for each class. All areas of Language Arts will be covered on an as needed basis: reading fluency and comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing in a variety of forms. During writing instruction, early learners will begin composing well-written sentences. ...
The learner will improve reading fluency and/or comprehension, writing skills as appropriate to developmental level, and confidence in the entire area of Language Arts.
I am a K-12 certified special education teacher. I understand the effort that students put toward learning goals, and I applaud all incremental growth. I am accustomed to developing engaging, individualized lessons that fill gaps in student learning for a successful outcome. I also hold a TEFL certificate which qualifies me to teach students whose primary language is not English.
Homework will be assigned on an as-needed basis and will depend upon need, age, focus skill and ability.
All students should attend class with a piece of paper and a pencil. The teacher will supply all necessary material which may be an emailed worksheet to be printed at home. Students may need to print individualized worksheets or word cards.
Teacher observation as well as student output will assess this class. I will send an email to parents discussing successes and next steps each week.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
