1 live meeting
1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Students will begin with vocal warm-ups. During the warm-ups, I will instruct them on how to use proper technique and I will assess their range. Next, we will work on a song in the style they choose. I will help them work on a specific song that they choose and can help guide them toward a choice that fits their voice type and range. If the student is preparing for a performance or audition, I am happy to help them prepare. In the second half of class, students will learn music theory. I will use concepts from the songs they are working on as much as possible to make it a little more relatable and easy to understand. I will teach each student at their own pace and skill level. In the first lesson, I will assess what the student already knows about theory and customize their curriculum for future lessons. I have worked with all ages and abilities in a variety of settings including public school, private studio, and music academy. I always try to meet students where they are in regards to age, skill, and attention but also help them progress quickly while still enjoying music and lessons. I always encourage students to ask questions throughout the learning process. No experience is required for these lessons.

Supply List
Students will need to have a copy of the music they want to work on (not just a lyrics sheet) and an accompaniment recording. I recommend finding this on www.musicnotes.com because you can get a digital copy of the music as well as the accompaniment track when you use their free app. Students will also need paper and a pencil for theory. I may also ask them to use noteflight.
