Each week as we travel, we'll learn about a different national park in the U.S. Learners will receive a stamp for their very own national park passport as we learn about geography, the 50 states, famous places, animals, the weather & so much more!

Class experience

US Grade 1 - 3
Students will practice handwriting and spelling along with learning the names, states, and map locations of the national parks. Students will also be introduced to the 50 states of the U.S. and border countries. Students will also learn social skills like taking turns, allowing friends to speak and listening to the teacher. The ultimate goal is for students to become more aware of and gain an interest in our U.S. national parks while learning about our world via a fun and creative classroom conversation!
I absolutely love learning about new places and traveling! I have been teaching geography on Outschool for several years and have taught geography to my ESL students in Asia for several years. As a homeschool parent, we also learn geography and discuss it DAILY in our home, along with traveling to various places in the U.S., including national parks and countries on other continents.
Homework Offered
Students can complete the coloring sheet and cut out their national park stamp to glue into their passport after each class. Students will also be given links to videos and websites to further their review of our national park. Students will have the opportunity to complete a fun national park related project each week as well.

Children are encouraged to bring their globe, map or atlas to class to refer to when reviewing the 50 states and when finding our next national park. Children may also bring their coloring pages to complete during class if they would like! A new coloring page along with national park passport stamp will be provided each week!
Miss Lisa uses these items to learn about geography! They are not necessary to have in class, but they are fantastic tools to have around the house to learn geography!
