In this ongoing class we concentrate on exploring your favorite Pokemon characters as foundation for learning sketching. We look at how they are drawn, and learn some fundamental skills which will make drawing more fun, and easier to understand. We ad color and maybe place the characters in a landscape. I will show learners how to gain an understanding of shapes, simple use of perspective, use of light and shade, and various ways of using marks. There will be time for playful exploration...
Students will have an opportunity to spend focused time of specific skills relating to drawing. Students will improve their drawing skills and be able to apply these to their own work.
I graduated with a BA in Art from Norwich School of Art (UK). I'm a full-time artist and teacher of drawing.
No enforced homework, however, students are encouraged to continue practicing the skills covered in class, and are welcome to upload their pictures to the classroom for feedback.
Paper or sketchbook, ideally not smaller than A4 a variety of pencils and pens. Eraser. Pencil sharpener.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
