How Outschool Works
There are no open spots for this class.

I will do an individual reading lesson with your learner during this time. The first time we meet, I will assess your learner to see what books are "just right" books for them- not too easy but a little bit of a challenge. After the first session, we will start by reviewing relevant letters and their sounds as well as any sight words that we will find in the text. Then, your student will read the text with support from me. I will contact you after our session with any next steps that I can...
Learners will improve reading fluency through phonics, word work, and reading texts appropriate for their current reading skills.
Students are encouraged to read as much as possible in between the sessions to practice what they've learned!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will be assessing the learner as we read and inform the parent of strengths and next steps with every session.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
