This class is a great opportunity for your learner to be able to experience various lessons within the Culture area in a Montessori environment. Each week we will be focusing on a specific lesson in the culture curriculum. The first class of the week will be focused on the actual lesson. Whereas, the second class of the week will be focused on implementing and practicing the new lesson. Each week the children will be supplied with a worksheet for us to complete together in class and occasionally a printable version of the work for them to use as well. The Culture area within the Montessori environment focuses on lessons in the following categories: History, Biology, Geography, and Physical Science, as well as the Arts. WEEKLY SCHEDULE Week of January 3: Hibernation, Migration & Adaptation Week of January 10: Parts of a Penguin Week of January 17: Types of Penguins Week of January 24: Chinese New Year Week of January 31: Groundhog Day *The following materials will be needed for the second class: green and brown construction paper, paper or plastic cup, popsicle/wooden craft stick, tape, scissors, markers. Week of February 7: Winter Olympics Week of February 14: Valentines Day Week of February 21: The Science Behind Snowflakes Week of February 28: Land and Water Forms Please note: All transfers to another time must be done at least 24 hours before. Please ensure that the class time(s) works with your schedule.

Supply List
Most weeks children will need to print out a worksheet, and occasionally they will also need to print out a printable version of the work. Along with the worksheet, children will also need a glue stick, scissors, and anything to color with (crayons, pencil crayons, markers, etc). This will be posted in the classroom each week.

Meghan is the founder of World Montessori Academy, as well as having her MACTE Montessori Teacher training and Registered Early Childhood Educator. She has a warm and welcoming nature. Meghan actually went to Montessori when she was little! She fell in love that knew that when she grew up that she wanted to become a Montessori teacher... and look where we are now! Her dream came true and she can't wait to share her love of Montessori with you and your children!
Sierra has been teaching for 8 years. She is a Montessori Master Teacher, certified and trained through the American Montessori Society (AMS) and MACTE. Teaching is her true passion. Guiding children through academics while creating a curious environment and fostering a true love for learning is what fulfills her. Sierra is so excited to be able to share her love of Montessori online with students around the world.
All of the Montessori classes from World Montessori Academy are taught by certified, trained Montessori teachers. This ensures that you are receiving the best, authentic Montessori experience for your child.
