Description
Class Experience
This is a one on one tutoring session with an experienced tutor for grades 1st-8th (to include Algebra). Sessions will address student learning needs in mathematics based on my assessment of the learner's skill level or parent requested topics. Lessons will focus on conceptual understanding, decomposing word problems, and procedural fluency. Extra practice will be provided for skills as needed. This is an ongoing class, for parents that would like to set a consistent day and time each week....
Learners will improve specific math skills that will assist with overall success in future math courses and real-life problem-solving.
I have a B.S. Ed with 5 years of classroom teaching in mathematics in middle grades in the public school setting. I have 10 years of experience tutoring elementary math students in private one on one settings.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will provide a short written or verbal report for each session. The report will include the skills worked on during the session, strengths, and weaknesses.
45 minutes per class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
