1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this class we will be focusing on basic math skills. Working on the basic math skills will help students feel confident and ready to work with more difficult concepts on their own. This ongoing class will meet once a week for 1 hour . I will use a white board and manipulatives. Students will need a pencil, paper, and some kind of counter/manipulative. The counters can be blocks, coins, goldfish, or whatever you have. We will occasionally use google slides to help be more hands on with our math skills. Students should be able to move a mouse around and click/move. I think math should be fun and engaging and doing things as hands on as possible is one way to help with that. Each week we will work on a different skill. Parental Guidance
In this class I will occasionally have students use google slides. I will have the slides created before class. I will use google slides in two ways. I will share my screen so students can see and have them tell me where to move the objects on the screen. Other times I will share the link of the slides with students through the chat feature on our video. Students will be expected to click on the google slides link and participate with our activity on the google slides, then come back to the video when we are done using our google slides. If I find it is too difficult for students to go between the google slides tab and the video tab I will share my screen and we will do it together instead.
Supply List
Students will need paper, a pencil, and some type of counter or manipulatives. This can be blocks, coins, goldfish, or anything you have around the house.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Mrs. Moog. I am an elementary teacher and taught elementary grades 2-4 for 4 years and preschool for 1. I love teaching and helping students understand the why behind what they are doing. I try to make learning fun for all students. When I was in elementary school I struggled with reading and it was hard. I want students I work with to have a different experience than I did. I want students to feel welcome and unafraid to make mistakes. My goal is for students to be excited to learn and eager to try new things. I love math, puzzles, and camping. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and we love to build towers and read books. I look forward to working with you!
